Trash for Us, Gold for Them

Ramadhan, the month full of blessings. In that special month, many parties are benefited. Rich people become more generous toward the poor and the poor receive alms so they can live better. After Ramadhan ends, all moslems will celebrate Eid. That day also called as a victory day for moslems  include the poor.

I captured this moment after Eid prayer, on August 31st 2011 at At-tin Mosque. There, so many waste paper which is used as a base mat, didn’t cleaned by their owners. If there was no one cleaner, it could be a big problem that “many wastes in mosque”. But, when worshipers rushed to leave the mosque after Eid prayed, garbage collectors were busy cleaning waste paper in the mosque.

My heart feel sorry for them. When we used new clothes, they didn’t. When we gathered with our big family, they also didn’t. When we were on vacation, they still had to earn a living. Although those waste paper will be sold again for their income, they can be called as the cleanness hero. Without them, I couldn’t imagine how dirty Attin Mosque was.
